The Guns of Navarone (1961): A rather effective WWII military adventure film, from the glory days of the genre. Worth a viewing if you’re into that kind of thing. Among the starry cast, Anthony Quinn is most entertaining. He’s really one of the great actors of the era (also check him out in Zorba the Greek, from 1964).
Bullitt (with Steve McQueen) (1968): Supercool cop story. Stylish and gritty, with McQueen as an unusually contemplative cop. He also does his own stunt driving. Very much set in San Francisco.
