This is a mix of mostly indie rock and DIY pop from 2019. Of the four 2019 compilations, it is certainly closest in spirit to what I played most often radio djing in college and law school (if more put together). This is part of a series I’ve been making since 2004 featuring recent independent music. I also posted mixes of 2019 jazz and ambient (Alight), hip hop and international sounds (Between Breaths), and electronic pop and soul (Sun) — those can be found on my Mixcloud page and here on this site. The cover photo is an excerpt from an early 1900s German postcard, one of my collection of German anthpomorphic root vegetable postcards from the period.
