This is an eclectic mix of international sounds mixed with hip hop, ending in drone, all from 2019. It is easily the most diverse of my 2019 mixes, but I think it still holds together for the adventurous and curious listener. This is part of a series I’ve been making since 2004 featuring recent independent music. I also posted mixes of 2019 indie rock and pop (Yellowjacket), jazz and ambient (Alight), and electronic-oriented pop (Sun) — those can be found on my Mixcloud page and here on this site. The cover photo is an excerpt from an early 1900s German postcard, one of my collection of German anthpomorphic root vegetable postcards from the period.
