This is one of a series of compilations I’ve been making since 2004 (around the time of my birthday) featuring some of my favorite recent indie music. Songs are from 2018, except two from 2017 and two from 2019. The cover is a photograph taken in Mexico by Tina Modotti, probably in the 1930s.
This is a varied collection of independent pop, psychedelic rock, synth-pop, hip hop, and folk. I have also posted a compilation of 2018 indie rock (Waiting for Oz) and a collection of recent jazz and ambient favorites (Temple Garden).
