Beginning to See the Light

After President Obama won the election in November 2008, I made this compilation to celebrate and mark the occasion. It seems appropriate to share it now, on the eve of the vote to re-elect him. The compilation obviously reflects the sense of hope and jubilation many of us felt in 2008, and those feelings have inevitably shifted with the reality of the past four years. But I fundamentally have a lot of respect and admiration for and, yes, trust in Obama, and there’s no debating the fact that his vision for the country is immeasurably superior to his opponent’s. I share this as an expression of my hope for the coming vote. Let’s keep moving forward!

By the way, while some of the songs have obvious content-associations with celebrating Obama’s victory, other songs were included simply because of the festive mood…
