Popcorn

Popcorn cover

This is an eclectic mix I made for my 7 year-old daughter. There is pretty much no true children’s music on here, but the assortment of upbeat ethnic folk (Indian, African, Estonian, Turkish, …) and pop (old time jazz, moog, countrified, …) is both (open-minded) kid and adult friendly.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it! You and she will probably enjoy my end of year compilation as well. The comment she made is interesting — I wonder if you all have listened to Yeh Yeh and Lollipop — both of which are on my “international” compilations page (https://wonderings.net/music-compilations/international-music-compilations/). Those compilations are more similar to Popcorn, and will be especially similar to my end of the year compilation. I also suspect that she was hearing the old time jazz portion of Popcorn when she made her comment — admittedly I don’t have many compilations too similar to that sequence, although an older compilation called Old Time Travels has some overlap. That one isn’t on the website yet…
